Comments - Beautiful triptych depicting Prince Genji paying a visit to a palace. He stands in the center wearing a blue brocade coat over his kimono, smiling as he looks down at the young woman at his side. She carries his sword upright, while another beauty at left holds out a lantern. Behind her, a matron appears at the top of the stairs, gripping the edge of a wooden support. The verandah behind them overlooks a beautiful garden with a lake surrounded by blossoming cherry trees beneath the night sky. A charming design with lovely color and detail in the elegant fabrics and palace setting.
