Two women sit on a cloth spread under the tree with lacquer containers of refreshments at hand. Elegant kimono are draped over a red sash tied to the tree behind them to provide privacy for the group. In the center, a beauty gently shakes a flowering branch, causing a shower of delicate petals to rain down into the upturned hands of the smiling girl. A beautiful spring image with fine detail and lovely coloring in the sumptuous fabrics, plus touches of gleaming silver.
