Chinese Princess and Beauties Practicing Martial Arts, 1865

Comments - Interesting scene of beauties practicing martial arts in front of a Chinese princess. She sits on a platform behind them, her chin in her hand as she looks the other direction, not paying any attention to the women. She wears an elegant robe with a round collar, the edges trimmed with layers of ruffles. The two younger combatants wear similar clothing, while the woman standing at right is dressed in a black kimono bordered with pink flowers and tall grasses. She looks back at the princess a she wield a wooden practice sword in each hand while stepping on the weapon of the girl at left. An interesting subject, nicely detailed.
