Treasure Ship

Comments - Handsome depiction of the "takara bune" or treasure ship of Japan's Seven Lucky Gods. According to legend, the deities would load the ship with bales of rice, coral, precious gems, and other items, and arrive in port on New Year's to deliver happiness to everyone in the coming year. The boat features a dragon prow, and a sail with an image of Mt. Fuji on it. A charming and colorful illustration of this holiday tradition.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Mounted to lightweight board. Slight toning, soiling along bottom edge. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
