Beauty in a Black Hood in Snow Kakemono

Comments - Charming kakemono or vertical diptych of a beauty walking through the snow. She smiles as she looks back over her shoulder, an umbrella at her side. She is bundled up against the cold, wearing a black hood tied around her neck with a blue and white print sash. She wears tall wooden geta sandals to keep her feet dry above the snow. An attractive Edo era beauty design.

Condition - This diptych with excellent color and detail. Two panels attached at seam. Backed with old paper. Slightly toned as shown. Edge repair to worm damage. See photos.
