Series; Beautiful Women of Edo, 1820

An Inn at Kayabacho - Lovely portrait of a beauty sitting in bed combing her hair. She wears a red under robe patterned with butterflies and trimmed with a blue maple leaf collar, tied loosely about her waist. A quilt is bunched up behind her, with a brazier on the floor behind and a lamp covered with a blue cloth a left. A circular inset shows the entrance to an inn at Kayabacho with paper lanterns hanging above the doorway. A charming design from a rarely seen Kunisada series.

Condition - With excellent color and detail as shown. A few small wormholes, repaired. Slight toning and soiling. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
