Yoshiwara, 1858 - Attractive view looking down on the Yoshiwara pleasure district in spring, with low lying clouds drifting across the scene. Blossoming cherry trees covered with delicate pink blossoms line the street as courtesans parade up and down under umbrellas. Other beauties look down from the upper stories of the teahouses beneath eaves hung with red paper lanterns. A handsome design from an unusual vantage point.
