Series; Famous Places in Edo

Low Tide at Shinagawa, 1858 - Charming view of people gathering shellfish at low tide at Shinagawa. The mast of a boat frames the scene at left, as women, men, and children wade through the shallow water with baskets in hand or under their arms. At right, a few pleasure boats are beached, waiting for the tide to come in, and the far shore is lined with buildings. Nicely colored.

Artist - Hiroshige II (1826 - 1869)

Image Size - 8 1/4" x 13 1/4" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. A few small wormholes, repaired. Faint toning, a few creases. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
