Original Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864) Japanese Woodblock Print
Ichikawa Ebizo V as Ki no Aritsune, 1847 - 1852

Comments - Handsome kabuki portrait of Ichikawa Ebizo V as the evil Ki no Aritsune, grimacing angrily as he stares over his shoulder, his hand atop the hilt of his sword. He stands in a rather shabby interior with cracks in the plaster walls, a koto at his feet and blue curtains hanging in the doorway. A great expressive figure with a nicely detailed setting.

Artist - Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864)

Image Size - 14 1/4" x 10" + top margin as shown

Condition - With excellent color and detail as shown. Slight paper remnants on reverse at three corners from previous mounting. Slight creasing, faint toning in top margin . Please see photos for details. Good overall.
