Worrying about the Hair

Series; Forty-eight Habits in the Floating World

Worrying about the Hair - Charming image of a seated young beauty worrying about her hair, checking the style using two hand mirrors, the back of her neck reflected in one. She wears a soft green kimono with a pattern of delicate brown and blue lines, tied with a butterfly print obi. A black lacquer makeup stand sits behind her and a mirror case lies on the floor. A very attractive design from this interesting and rarely seen Eisen beauty series.

Artist - Eisen (1790 - 1848)

Image Size - 14 7/8" x 10 1/8"

Condition - With excellent color and detail as shown. Backed with paper. Small losses at corners, a few small holes, repaired. Toning, slight soiling and creasing. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
