Maple Leaves and Deer, 1831 - Charming image of a beauty washing her feet in shallow metal tub. She rubs her leg with a white cloth, keeping her sleeve out of the water with her teeth. Her red kimono is bordered with wide bands of blue and black striped fabric patterned with bats in flight. The inset at upper right features a deer prancing along beneath a maple tree. An attractive design from this rarely seen series.

Artist - Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864)

Image Size - 15" x 10 1/4"

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. One wormhole and a couple small holes, repaired, blends well. Creasing, slight soiling, slight rubbing near edges. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
