The Coast of Yokohama, 1871

Comments - Terrific view of the coast at Yokohama, with a ferry in the center carrying passengers towards the shore. Modern stone buildings line the embankment, with foreign flags fluttering overhead. At left, a boat filled with soldiers rows past, while foreigners can be seen chatting in front of the building above. At right, a train approaches the city, and Mt. Fuji can be seen in the distance. A wonderful view of Yokohama, beautifully detailed and attractively colored.
