Series; Album of True Views of Kyoto, 1894

Album of True Views of Kyoto - Charming scene from a group of Meiji era landscapes by Yamada Shokei depicting Kyoto and the surrounding area. These lovely designs offer beautiful views of the Japanese countryside, from temples under moonlit to the colorful changes of season. These carefully observed images are drawn with fine calligraphic line work and softly shaded, delicate color. A wonderful choice to frame and display, either singly or in groups.

Image Size - 6 3/4" x 9" + margins as shown

Condition - With excellent color and detail as shown. Faint toning, diagonal fold across top left corner, horizontal fold in bottom margin, a few creases. Please see photos for details.
