Tea Ceremony

Comments - Lovely triptych of the time honored Japanese tea ceremony. The beauty at left kneels before a brazier, carefully wiping a small tea cup. The three guests watch the ceremony quietly, kneeling with their hands in their laps. Beautiful color and detail in the women's kimono and obi. A beautiful interior setting with a niche at left holding a vase of flower before a hanging scroll, and the door opening onto an attractive garden. A wonderful subject, detailed with a burnished leaf pattern in the black obi and embossing in three of the kimono collars.
