Warriors Fighting beneath a Bridge, 1853

Comments - Interesting scene of two warriors fighting with fans beneath a bridge. The young man at left uses his fan defensively to block a blow from the older samurai at right. The young man turns his head with a worried grimace, standing barefoot on the rocky shore. His pants feature the butterfly crest of the Taira Clan. Wooden pilings rise above them, with blue water beyond. An intriguing subject.
