Beauty at a Cherry Blossom Viewing Picnic

Comments - Charming scene of a beauty and a young girl enjoying an outing to view the blossoming cherry trees. She smiles as she looks up to admire the flowers, a folding fan in her outstretched hand. The girl holds a delicate blossom as she kneels on the grass, a few petals drifting down through the sky. A cloth tent wall hung from the trees provides privacy for the picnic spread out on a mat at lower right. An attractive spring subject, with embossing in the white kimono trim.

Artist - Kunichika (1835 - 1900)

Image Size - 13 7/8" x 9 5/8"

Condition - With excellent color and detail as shown. A couple thinning spots, repaired, blends well. Slight soiling, slight rubbing near edges, a few creases. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
