Beauties in an Iris Garden

Comments - Lovely triptych depicting beauties enjoying a stroll through an iris garden, the path flanked by purple, blue, and white blossoms and slender green leaves. In the center, a girl in a purple kimono gestures at a large bloom, looking over her shoulder at her companions. The woman at right steps forward to look at the flower, smiling with her hand extended. A bridge covered with an arbor leads to a small island with a teahouse, where an elderly man and a woman relax on a cloth covered bench beneath hanging paper lanterns. An attractive design, beautifully detailed with burnishing in the two beauties' hair and a subtle burnished pattern on the black obi. A wonderful choice for display.
