Preparing to Create Bonseki - Charming portrait of a young beauty preparing to create bonseki, the art of forming miniature landscapes on black lacquer trays using white sand, pebbles, and small rocks. She kneels forward with a smile, looking at the feathers and other tools laid out for use. Her bright red kimono features folding fans and colorful blossoms, and her hair is arranged in two loops atop her head. Nicely detailed with burnishing in the hair and embossing in the white kimono collar.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Backed with paper. Slight soiling, faint ink offsetting, faint staining at top left corner. Please see photos for details.
