Comments - Beautiful kakemono or vertical diptych format print of a young beauty dressed as a shirabyoshi dancer. She wears a men's formal court cap over her elegantly styled hair, her kimono patterned with sprays of blossoms. She carries a tasseled cord attached to a flower cart with both hands, with cherry blossoms, iris, and peonies arranged in a basket behind her, creating a handsome spring setting. Beautifully drawn with graceful flowing lines and a lovely expressive face. A classic Edo era beauty print, wonderfully suited to the kakemono format.
