Rebuilding Kiyosu Castle

Comments - Fantastic triptych showing the rebuilding of Kiyosu Castle in three days under the direction of Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Construction continues into the night with dozens of men at work by torchlight on scaffolding covering the building. Hideyoshi bows before Lord Nobunaga, who stands proudly in the center, surrounded by his retainers. Smoke billows from two bonfires on either side, filling the sky with an eerie pink glow. More workers labor in a temporary lumberyard at right, moving planks of wood. An incredible atmospheric image from this legendary tale, with a dramatic composition. A stunning triptych and a great choice for a samurai enthusiast.
