Hexagonal Teahouse at Ueno, 1880

Comments - Attractive view of the unusual six-sided teahouse in Ueno Park, the structure nestled beneath tall leafy trees. A couple sits on a bench at the right end of a pavilion attached to the hexagon-shaped building, while a woman strolls along at left, her silhouette visible through her pink umbrella. The beauty and the trees cast long shadows across the quiet scene. A handsome design by Kiyochika from a series of views of Tokyo.

Artist - Kiyochika (1847 - 1915)

Image Size - 7 3/4" x 12 1/4" + margins

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail. Some light rubbing and soiling at edges. A couple small holes repaired from reverse. Please see photos for details. Nice overall.
