Empress Jingu Fishing - Fantastic scene of the Empress Jingu fishing at Chikuzen, reaching out her hand to catch the fish wriggling at the end of the line she has just pulled out of the water. Her elderly Grand Minister, Takeshiuchi no Sukune, kneels beside her on the rocky shore, looking up with both hands outstretched, his bow on the ground beside him. A terrific design with the dramatic waves echoing the shape of the rocky cliffs, giving them an unusual, almost solid appearance. Beautifully drawn, and detailed with delicate embossing in the minister's white robe.
