Fine View from the Top of Mount Atago in Shiba, circa 1839 – 1842 - Terrific design of a busy tea stall on the hilltop at Atago Shrine, with customers relaxing and enjoying the view of the city and harbor below. A mother and child look over the railing near the center while at left, an old woman serves a cup of tea to a man sitting on the bench. The scene is nicely framed by the shrine building at left and tall trees at right. A classic Hiroshige subject, also in the collection of the Boston Museum of Fine Arts.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Tear and small losses at right edge, a few holes, repaired, blends well. Toning and spotting, slight rubbing near edges. Please see photos for details.
