Visiting a Shrine and Spring Garden, 1896

Comments - Attractive Meiji era print featuring two scenes of beauties. The top image shows a mother and her daughter visiting a shrine in spring, pausing beside a red torii gate to watch the crowd rushing past them. Below, two beauties chat at the door of a house as a third woman walks through the garden on stepping stones, stopping to admired the wisteria blossoms hanging from an arbor. A nice uncut page with two designs, gracefully drawn and softly colored.
