Comments - Terrific triptych depicting a sumo wrestling match. The two wrestlers grapple in the center of the ring, one reaching over his opponent's back to grab him by the loincloth, their muscles bulging. At left, the referee watches intently, his fan in hand, as a patron sits quietly on a cushion at right. A great composition beautifully filling the page.

Condition - With excellent color and detail. Three panels, not attached at the seams and lightly toned throughout. Faint soiling and spotting in subject with remnants from previous mounting along edges. A few small pinpoint holes near edges and tears at corners, repaired from reverse.
