Ogata Korin (1658 - 1716) Japanese Woodblock Reprint
Poppies Fan print, 1931

Comments - Beautiful fan print design of poppies based on a painting by the great Rimpa master Ogata Korin. Blossoms in red, pale pink, and white are rendered against a soft yellow background in the shape of an uchiwa or rigid fan. The design is surrounded by a deep green border scattered with flecks of shimmering gold mica. A lovely image that would make a striking framed presentation. A rarely seen woodblock, published by Uchida Art Company in 1931.

Artist - Ogata Korin (1658 - 1716)

Image Size - 14 1/4" x 9 3/8" + margins as shown

Condition - With excellent color and detail as shown. A few faint creases near edges. Please see photos for details. Very nice overall.
