Series; Eight Views of the Area of Kinryuzan Temple in Asakusa

Publisher - Adachi from a rare series of Edo masterwork designs. Adachi publisher seal in margin or on reverse.

Adachi was one of the most respected publishers of the 20th century. Their woodblocks were printed to the highest standards with excellent color and fine detail. Founded in 1925, Adachi also chose interesting and varied subjects for their prints and was the only publisher of many famous old ukiyo-e images.

Visiting Komagata-do Temple - Handsome scene of a couple and a young boy paying a visit to Komagata-do Temple. The child holds onto the sleeve of his father's striped coat while the beauty gestures with her hand, looking behind her. A stone wall is topped a black fence, and a pine branch frame a view of the river beyond, which is dotted with boats. Rarely seen in reprint.
