Shiigamoto (Beneath the Oak Tree), Chapter 46 - Interesting scene of travelers stopping at a roadside tea stall for a rest. The beauty Wakaba-no-naishi and her son Rokudai-gozen watch as the man Gonta gathers flower petals from the ground, collecting them in his woven hat. He wears a deep blue coat, bending forward with a pipe in his mouth, a dotted towel wrapped about this head. The young boy watches eagerly, his own hand full of petals. Parcels are set on the bench behind the trio under the spreading branches of a tree. An attractive subject with lovely color and detail.
