Viewing Cherry Blossoms from a Pleasure Boat - Beautiful triptych showing beauties on an outing to view the cherry blossoms. A pleasure boat is tied up near the shore as the women on board chat with companions standing on the grassy embankment. One beauty leans against the roof of the cabin, smiling happily, while her friend leans out from inside the cabin. Blossoming cherry trees frame the scene, and the far bank is rendered in muted tones, conveying a sense of distance. Lovely color and detail in the attractive kimono and obi fabrics, which include burnishing and touches of silver metallic pigment. Would make a fine framed presentation.

Artist - Miyagawa Shuntei (1873 - 1914)

Image Size - 25 3/8" x 12 1/2" + margins as shown

Condition - This triptych with excellent color and detail. Three separate panels. Backed with old folio paper. Some light toning at edges. A few minor spots. Please see photos for details. Nice overall.
