Night Rain

Series; Pride of Tokyo: Eight Views of Famous Places

Night Rain - Lovely image of two beauties crossing a bridge at night during a rain. The woman in the center pauses to let her companion catch up with her, a shaft of light rising from the red paper lantern she carries. The man at left leans into his umbrella as he approaches, the raindrops slanting across the dark sky. A handsome design, nicely colored and detailed with fine bokashi shading in the sky and the glowing shoji windows at upper left.

Artist - Hiroshige III (1843 - 1894)

Image Size - 13 1/4" x 8 3/4" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Vertical fold with some separation in left margin repaired. Please see photos for details. Nice overall.
