View of Eitai Bridge

Comments - Terrific panoramic view of Eitai Bridge in Tokyo in spring. Pedestrians share the roadway with rickshaws, a rider on horseback, and laborers carrying goods, some pausing at the railing to watch the traffic on the Sumida River below. Ships of all sizes dot the water, including boats laden with cargo and even a large steamship with a smokestack in the center. Warehouses and other buildings line the shore, and blossoming cherry trees frame the scene at lower right. A rosy glow spreads along the horizon, with the snow-capped peak of Mt. Fuji at right. A wonderful design with attractive color and detail.

Artist - Kunisada III (1848 - 1920)

Image Size - 14 1/4" x 28 1/2"
