Comments - Lovely kakemono or vertical diptych of a beauty reading a letter, smiling as she looks up over her shoulder. She wears a beautiful kimono patterned with morning glory blossoms and vines, tied with a black obi featuring a red tie-dyed inset. Her hair is pulled back into a smooth knot, adorned with a comb, decorative hairpins, and ribbons. An attractive Edo era design.
