July: The Night before Gion Festival Tanzaku Print - Handsome design of a large display of lanterns for the upcoming Gion Festival. The glowing yellow lanterns are strung from a tall pole, towering above the nearby tile rooftops. An attractive composition beautifully suited to the narrow tanzaku or poem slip format.
