Comments - Interesting Osaka kabuki portrait of a commoner eating a meal. He kneels next to a red lacquer tray holding dishes of fish and other food, and a bottle of sake. He frowns glumly as he hunches forward, a small cup in his hand. He wears a checked gray kimono tied with a blue obi, a tobacco pouch and pipe case hanging at his side and a towel clutched in his other hand. A nice expressive figure in a handsomely detailed interior setting.
