Original 18th century Japanese Woodblock Print
Bird on a Branch

Comments - Interesting kacho-e or bird and flowers print of a bird perched on a branch, its mouth open as if calling. One wing is extended to the side as the bird stretches. A nice asymmetrical composition.

Artist - 18th century artist (not read)

Image Size - 8 1/2" x 6 1/2"

Condition - With excellent color and detail. Toned throughout and backed with thin paper. Slight rubbing and soiling in subject. Some spotting and staining in select prints. A few holes and areas of thinning in subject and at edges, repaired with backing paper. Please see photos for a sense of individual condition. Good overall.
