Comments - Wonderful triptych of upper-class ladies enjoying a spring day writing poem slips and tying them to blossoming cherry tree. A young woman stands on a bench covered with a red cloth in the center, carefully attaching her message to a flowering branch. A beauty kneeling beside her holds a brush in hand and a blank poem slip, looking up as a friend approaches carrying a stacking red lacquer box. Inside the house, a woman creates an ink painting as two younger girls watch. A charming woodblock depicting this annual celebration, nicely detailed with lively color and soft shading in the water and sky.
