47 Ronin, Act 3 - Handsome woodblock scene from Shuntei's circa 1810 kabuki series based on the play "Kanadehon Chushingura," which tells the fantastic story of the 47 Ronin, who avenged their master's death. Each design presents the major characters in nicely detailed settings, beginning with Lady Kaoyo's identification of the battle helmet and culminating in the night attack on Moronao's palace. Opening at only $49, these early Ronin prints are an incredible opportunity for collectors interested in this classic tale of honor and revenge!

Condition - With excellent color and detail. Toned as shown. Backed with old paper. Some rubbing and soiling. A few spots. Trimmed as shown. A couple with small holes repaired from reverse. Please see individual photos for details. Generally good overall.
