Series; Twelve Famous Views of Nikko, 1881

Twelve Famous Views of Nikko - Terrific image from a Meiji era series illustrating views of Nikko, known for its spectacular scenery and as the home of many temples and shrines, including Toshogu Shrine, the final resting place of Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu. These charming designs feature dramatic waterfalls, the sacred Shinkyo Bridge, and elegant temples set among forested hills. Carefully drawn with lively color and fine detail, these prints wonderfully capture the scenic beauty of the area.

Image Size - 6 1/4" x 8 3/4" + margins as shown

Condition - With excellent color and detail. Some light rubbing and soiling at edges. A few small holes repaired from reverse. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
