Comments - Interesting scene of performers arriving at a teahouse. A servant with a green plaid apron tied over her kimono greets the guests, which include a musician carrying a hand drum and a young man carrying a puppet or doll of a shirabyoshi dancer. A black lacquer shamisen case lies on the floor nearby. A paper lantern hangs from the slatted window overhead, and sandals are set outside a doorway in the hall at upper left. Nice detail in the architectural setting.
