Cherry Blossoms and Songbird, 1949

Comments - Charming spring scene of a songbird perched in blossoming cherry tree, its beak open as it sings. Two varieties of cherry trees are shown, one with double pink blossoms and the other with single white flowers. A shower of delicate pink petals falls through the sky, which is softly shaded from blue to green, an indication of a first edition. A lovely design. Published by Kyoto Hanga-in and dated 1949 in right margin.

Artist - Bakufu Ohno (1888 - 1976)

Image Size - 14 1/4" x 9 5/8" + margins as shown

Condition - With excellent color and detail as shown. Slight paper remnants on reverse at left corners from previous folio mounting. Slight horizontal crease across center. Faint toning and slight creasing near edges. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
