Beauties and Children Playing

Comments - Charming spring scene of two beauties with several children playing. In the center, a mother holds a young boy wearing a samurai helmet. The child reaches eagerly for a miniature palanquin held by the small boy beside him. At right, a girl holds a decorative battledore and shuttlecock for a game similar to badminton. At left, a woman prepares to hang a scroll in a niche above a figure of the Lucky God Ebisu, while a girl plays with dolls on the floor nearby. A blossoming plum tree frames the pale blue sky, which is streaked with yellow clouds. An attractive image with fine bokashi shading.
