Young Street Knight in a Rooster Kimono, 1862

Comments - Handsome kabuki portrait of a smiling young street knight looking over his shoulder. He wears a black kimono with a colorful design of a rooster, cherry blossoms and a battle or signal fan. He carries an umbrella and has a dotted towel draped around his neck. An attractively colored and detailed subject, with soft bokashi shading in the background.

Artist - Yoshiharu (1828 - 1888)

Image Size - 14 3/8" x 9 1/4"

Condition - With excellent color and detail. Light staining and rubbing along edges. A few small tears at corners, repaired, with some remnants from previous mounting on reverse. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
