Adachi was one of the most respected publishers of the 20th century. Their woodblocks were printed to the highest standards with excellent color and fine detail. Founded in 1925, Adachi also chose interesting and varied subjects for their prints and was the only publisher of many famous old ukiyo-e images.

Comments - This early design by Moronobu stands as a classic example of the early black and white woodblock printing period. The scene of two lovers in the field, printed in black and white, is both graphically bold and finely detailed. The strength of the black lines further adds to the beauty of this lovely print. A great opportunity for a collector to add an early style print to a collection.
