Comments - Fantastic triptych showing courtesans strolling along the ground floor of the modern five-story Goseiro building in Edo-cho in the New Yoshiwara. They walk under an arcade that overlooks a courtyard filled with blossoming cherry trees, the five-story tower visible in the center with visitors looking over a balcony. The women are dressed in sumptuous kimono and obi in vibrant colors and striking designs. At center, a beauty turns her back to the viewer to showcase the magnificent falcon in flight on her robe. The courtesan at far right wears a blue kimono with a peacock on it. Lovely color and detail in this fascinating design, with delicate embossing in the white kimono collars and soft shading in the sky.
