Series; The Sixty-nine Stations of the Kisokaido, 1852
Unuma: Suketakaya Takasuke III as Inuyuma Dosetsu - Great kabuki portrait of Suketakaya Takasuke III as Inuyuma Dosetsu, one of the famous Eight Dog Warriors. He stares ahead with a grim frown, his hand resting atop the hilt of his sword. He wars a beautiful black vest with a design of a dragon, red flames, and spiraling clouds over a fine suit of armor. His long hair is pulled back into a low ponytail, with shorter bushy hair atop his head. The view above shows a castle at night framed by pine trees under an evening sky. A terrific composition with the large figure filling the page, nicely detailed with burnishing in the vest, embossing in the hilt of the sword, and handsome wood grain impression in the sky.
