Shogun Toyotomi Hideyoshi - Impressive woodblock of the Shogun Toyotomi Hideyoshi receiving a messenger from the Mouri family. Hideyoshi is seated on a spotted deerskin wearing a fabulous peacock feather printed robe, the message on the floor before him. The old messenger kneels respectfully before him. A fascinating Yoshitoshi image with incredible detail, including touches of burnishing in the armor.

Condition - With excellent color and detail. A couple horizontal creases in subject. One small hole repaired from reverse. Light soiling and spotting throughout. Please see photos for details. Nice overall.
