Samurai Fighting off Guards

Comments - Intriguing kabuki triptych depicting two samurai fighting off guards on a moonlit night. At left, a kneeling warrior twists the arm of a policeman behind his back. The warrior stares ahead with a grimace, his swords wrapped in a straw raincoat under his other arm. In the center, a guard stumbles to the ground as his trips over a cases sword held by a gray-haired samurai, who frowns unhappily at his companion. At right, a wild-haired rogue stares out the window of a house, frowning angrily. A full moon glows in the gray winter sky, and the foliage and ground are blanketed with snow. Nice expressive figures in an interesting setting.
