Sugawara no Michizane Praying on Mt. Tempai

Ukiyo-e Prints from T. Sakai, Tokyo - Handsome design from a group of Edo era ukiyo-e prints previously sold by T. Sakai in Tokyo, a print shop established in 1874. Each woodblock is mounted along the top edge to a sheet of backing paper labeled with the company name and the notation "Guaranteed Genuine Old Original." These classic ukiyo-e designs by Hokusai demonstrate his mastery of draftsmanship and wonderful attention to detail. An interesting provenance for these attractive subjects by this noted woodblock master.

Condition - With excellent color and detail as shown. Faint diagonal crease, slight wrinkling at top corners. Please see photos for details. Nice overall.
