Series; Women's Activities of the Tokugawa Era

Wisteria Viewing at Ushijima - Beautiful scene of upper-class ladies enjoying the view of wisteria at Ushijima from a hill overlooking the water below. They pause under a pine tree, looking down at visitors strolling along a wisteria-covered walkway. The standing woman wears a lovely blue kimono patterned with rushing waterfalls and a variety of colorful flowers. Beautifully drawn with fine detail, handsome embossing on the white kimono trim, and bokashi shading in the water and sky. A charming spring triptych.
