Yamashiro, Flowers of Kinkaku-ji, Princess Yuki, No. 30 - Beautiful woodblock print from the famous tale of Princess Yuki, who was tied to a cherry tree in the gardens of the Golden Pavilion in Kyoto. She drew a mouse in the soft dirt with her toe, and it came to life and multiplied, chewing through the ropes and freeing her. A shower of flower petals falls over her as the mice scamper about her feet, Kancho Waterfall crashing in the background. The dragon peering over the top of the image taught Princess Yuki's father the secret of painting. Nice embossed detail in the white kimono trim. A lovely scene that would make a handsome framed presentation.

Condition - With excellent color and detail. Slight toning and rubbing in margins with minor spotting in subject. A few very small pinpoint holes along left edge, repaired from reverse. Please see photos for details. Nice overall.
